This scene is based upon the original opening location of a text based adventure game I wrote at university with Iain Russell back in 1992. It is also the location of where one of the scenes of my humorous fantasy novel takes place. At one stage I was considering to use this image and others in a Myst style point and click adventure game. Maybe I will one day get around to actually writing that game, but if I do it will be ironic that after so many years of Windows near development it will actually finally by written for a Mac as it was a Mac game that inspired it.
The main points of interest in this was my experiments with the organic tree and bushes in an attempt to make something that did not look so computer generated, with varying degrees of success.
